A bill led by Fontaines D.C. and Hayley Williams
Rolling Stone Australia reports that Fontaines D.C. and Hayley Williams top the bill for the 22nd edition. The announced lineup also includes Slayyyter, ADÉLA, Kim Petras, MUNA, Ninajirachi, Rico Nasty, DIIV and Rachel Chinouriri. Triple j says the bill contains “plenty more” beyond those names, so the full lineup is wider than the list above.
Fontaines D.C. are back at the festival with a shift to the main stage. Hayley Williams is bringing her solo project, billed as The Hayley Williams Show, to Australia for the first time. Slayyyter is also on the bill, making her Laneway debut while returning to the region for a second time in six months, according to triple j.
Four host cities, two missing from the map
The 2027 route runs from Sydney to Auckland in ten days, with no stops in Adelaide or Perth.

Rolling Stone Australia reports that Adelaide and Perth were dropped from the touring schedule because of the logistical demands of staging multiple festivals across Australia and New Zealand in a short period. Triple j says fans in those cities will get a separate run of sideshows featuring Fontaines D.C., Jane Remover and Tiffany Day. The reporting does not give dates or venues for those sideshows.
The presale clock starts in October
Tickets go on sale in two rounds. The Laneway Festival presale opens Wednesday, October 7, and the general sale follows Thursday, October 8. Rolling Stone Australia reports that both sales kick off at 10am AEDT in Sydney, 11am AEDT in Melbourne, 11am AEST in Brisbane and 11am NZDT in Auckland.
That means the start time is set city by city, rather than by a single national clock. Sydney buyers go first, while Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland each have their own local window.
When the road shortens, sideshows carry more weight
Rolling Stone Australia described the 2027 edition as a noticeably smaller affair geographically. With only four festival dates on the map, Adelaide and Perth fans have two options: travel to one of the host cities or wait for the confirmed sideshow run. Those sideshows cover three artists, not the full festival bill, so the main event remains unavailable in those two cities.
