Central defenders Leopold Querfeld and Rani Khedira are below the level they reached last season.
In attack, Andrej Ilic and Oliver Burke are unavailable. Lustrinelli called the trip to Munich "a cool challenge" against a side aiming to win the Champions League, and said his team had nothing to lose.
Bayern's attack is quieter than last season
Under Vincent Kompany, Bayern scored 14 goals in the first three matchdays a year ago. This season they have seven. The margin for error is thinner, and the fluency that defined last season's start has not fully returned. A win on Friday would lift Bayern to the top of the table for the first time since matchday one, though Freiburg, Dortmund and Augsburg all play later and could overtake them again.
